- Refunds will be issued on inspections canceled with a minimum 2 business days advance notice, customer will pay the refund fee if any. Cancellations with less than 2 business days advance notice, will be issued a full credit towards another inspection. Customers will pay the fee difference if any.
- Inspector will conduct a non-evasive, visual inspection of the property. The inspector shall perform all duties in accordance with the NCHILB Standards of Practice. The inspector shall follow all standards as adopted by the State of North Carolina for Home Inspectors as defined in the NCHILB Standards of Practice. The property inspection is not a code inspection, title examination, nor a By-law compliance inspection. The Inspector does not offer an opinion as to the advisability or inadvisability of the purchase of the property, its value or potential use. If the Inspector is called upon to prepare for litigation or give testimony because of the inspection, additional fees shall be charged at a rate of $85.00 per hour, plus IRS allowable mileage rate, and incurred expenses. A fee of $150 may be charged for cancellation within 12 hours of the scheduled inspection appointment. A flat fee of $250 shall be charged to the client in the event the client terminates the inspection early; in this event there will be no report provided should the client terminate the inspection.
